Created in complete collaboration with IPATH footwear designers and the APACHE Skateboards
Team, the I-PACHE shoe was designed with skateboarding in mind. Comfort, durability,style
and pride are the goals. The I-PACHE shoe is a fresh take and another history making “first” for
APACHE Skateboards and IPATH Footwear.
Douglas Miles, is the owner/founder of Apache Skateboards, the first Native skateboard
company. Working primarily with spray paint, exacto knives, no. 2 pencils, acrylic, and ink.
Miles’ imagery of Apache warriors and contemporary “rez” portraits bring a Native aesthetic
and sensibility to skateboarding and street art for the first time with IPATH. Apache Skateboards
have been shown at Princeton, The Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History, Heist/Art Basel, and
Eyejammie Gallery NYC. “Walk Like A Warrior", a documentary about the origins of Apache
Skateboards, is to be released in 2008.
